DR. MUDGE-RILEY successfully made the transition from clinical practice to non-direct clinical work and now works for a brokerage firm in Richmond, Virginia as Director of Wellness and Health Promotion. She has spent the past five years advising other doctors on how to enhance their career and on transitioning to a non-clinical career through Physicians Helping Physicians under Integrate Health For Results, LLC. She has worked with over 50 doctors located in various locations throughout the United States.
Dr. Mudge-Riley works on an individual basis with each client to help with such things as:

* Salary considerations involved
* CV/resume assistance
* Assistance with “elevator pitch”
* Assistance with personal reflection and direction
* Personal development plan, goals and objectives
* Networking assistance
Dr. Mudge-Riley received her medical degree from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical School and her Masters Degree in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed a medical internship at Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital System (VCUHS) and a business residency under the CEO of the same hospital system. She has been directly responsible for planning, implementation, communication, and evaluation of programs involving healthcare wellness, safety, and quality within a variety of industries.
Dr. Mudge-Riley has conducted seminars on topics related to change management, motivation, wellness and health education. She has been involved in the process of peer review for these topics. She has also been published in a variety of journals including Physicians Practice Magazine and The D.O. She has spoken to a variety of audiences including MBI, the YMCA, The Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) Annual Meeting, The Society for Human Resources (SHRM) and SEAK Conference for Physicians, Dominion Virginia Power, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, The Central Virginia Foodbank, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), and Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC).
In addition to assisting physicians, Dr. Mudge-Riley provides innovative health improvement strategy consulting for businesses and individuals. She works with each client to develop wellness strategies based on unique organizational needs and objectives using an evidence and results oriented approach. Her goal is to optimize wellness initiatives through client-specific programs designed to contain costs and increase profitability. Her methods facilitate short-term success and assure long-term success and sustainability.
Dr. Mudge Riley is an avid runner and biker. She was fourth overall woman at the Richmond Marathon in 2006 and has completed more than 20 marathons and half marathons.
